1870ean Excoffon langabezian zegoen, eta lau urte zeramatzan François Excoffon izeneko inprimatzaile batekin. Bi ume izan zituzten eta 1874ko irailean ezkondu ziren.[4]
1871n La boule noire kluba sortu zenean, Sophie Poirier haren presidentea izan zen eta bera lehendakariordea.[3] Béatrix bizi zen apartamentua, Acacias kaleko 32. zenbakian, klubaren beharretarako konfiskatu zuten.[4][5]
La Commune liburuan, Louise Michelek kontatu zuen ikasgelatik irteten ari zela Poirier, Blin eta Excoffon haren bila joan zirela Montmartreko zaintza-batzordea sortzeko.[6]
Salle Ragache-ko klubaren bilera batean, apirilaren hasieran, honela esan zuen: "Nahiko eta sobra gara gu zaurituak sendatzera joateko".[7] 1871ko apirilaren 3an, Excoffonek parte hartu zuen hainbat emakumek Versaillesera egin zuten martxan. Hara joan ziren, 1789ko urrian joan ziren iraultzaileen adibideari jarraituz, bertan zegoelako Batzar Nazionala errefuxiaturik.[4][8] Excoffonek kanpaina-ospitale ibiltari bat ezarri zuen hamabost egunez Issy-les-Molineux-eko gotorlekuan, Enfants perdus izeneko infanteria arineko soldadu zaurituak artatzeko.[2][9] Alix Payen ere Issyko ospitalera joan zen laguntza ematera. Iritsi zen egunean bertan sendaketa egin behar izan zion senarrari begian.[4][10][11]
1871ko maiatzaren 23an, Aste odoltsuan, Versaillesko armada Parisen sartu zenean, Excoffonek Plaza Zuriko barrikada defendatu zuen,[4] Élisabeth Dmitrieff, Nathalie Lemel, Blanche Lefebvre eta Malvina Poulain ospitaleko erizainarekin batera.[13] Han borrokatu ziren 120 emakumeek eutsi egin zioten Clinchant generalaren erasoari, baina, ahiturik eta ia muniziorik gabe, atzera egin behar izan zuten Pigalle plazara.[14][15].
Laugarren Gerra Kontseiluak 1871ko urriaren 13an esparru gotortu batera deportatzera kondenatu zuen.[4] Hasiera batean Versaillesko Satory auzunean espetxeratu zuten Louis Michelekin batera,[2] eta gero Auberiveko emakumeentzako espetxe zentralean[16].
Bere epaiketan, Excoffonek azaldu zuen Versailleseko martxaren helburua liskarra saihetsi eta Batzar Nazionalarekin adiskidetzea lortzea zela.[17] Excoffonek gurasoak eta koinatua galdu berri zituen, eta Louise Michelek Victor Hugoren esku-hartzea eskatu zuen haren askapena lortzeko.[16] Excoffonek men egin zion Kontseiluari eta zigorra kommutatu zioten. 1878ko azaroaren 26an aske utzi zuten.[2][4]
Excoffon eta bere bikotekidea 1874ko irailaren 5ean ezkondu ziren.[4]
1905eko urtarrilaren 21ean Louise Michelen zerraldoari Lyongo geltokian eginiko harreran parte hartu zuen.[4]
