Schmiedrait situas inter montoj. Oberwart troviĝas je 13, Oberschützen je 7 km-oj.
Historio
La unua mencio devenis el 1388 en germana formo "Symdroch". En 1532 la turkoj detruis la komunumon. En 1910 vivis en Határfő 247 homoj (plejparte aŭstroj). Ĝis 1921 la vilaĝo apartenis al Hungara reĝlando, al Vas (reĝa departemento), al distrikto de Felsőőr, poste al Aŭstrio, inter 1938-1945 al Germanio.
