Max WERTHEIMER (15a de Aprilo, 1880 – 12a de Oktobro, 1943) estis psikologo el Aŭstri-Hungario kiu estis unu el la tri fondintoj de la Geŝtalt-psikologio, kun Kurt Koffka kaj Wolfgang Köhler. Li estas konata ĉefe pro sia libro, Produktiva pensado, kaj pro la elpensado de la fio-fenomenono kiel parto de sia laboro ĉe Geŝtalt-psikologio.

Wertheimer interesiĝis en psikologio kaj studis kun Carl Stumpf en la Universitato de Berlino.[1] Wertheimer poste atingis doktorigon en 1904 kun Oswald Külpe, en la Universitato de Würzburg[1] kaj poste ekfaris sian intelektulan karieron instruante en la Universitato de Frankfurto. Dum mallonge li lasis Frankfurton por labori en la Berlina Psikologia Instituto, sed revenis en 1929 kiel profesoro. Wertheimer finfine finigis sian karieron en The New School de Novjorko, posteno kiun li tenis ĝis sia morto.
