Baška situas laŭ traira flankovojo apud Košice kiu troviĝas 5 km.
La vilaĝo estis unue menciita en la jaro 1322 en formo "Bosk". En 1910 loĝis en Baska 240 homoj, (plejparte slovakoj). Ĝis Traktato de Trianon la vilaĝo apartenis al Hungara reĝlando, al Abaúj-Torna, al distrikto de Kassa, poste al Ĉeĥoslovakio, fine ekde 1993 al Slovakio. Inter 1938-1945 Baska rehungariĝis. La unua Arbitracio de Vieno deklaris, ke tiuj regionoj, kie la hungaroj vivas en majoritato, apartenu al Hungario. En 2001 loĝis en Baška 289 homoj, (285 slovakoj, 3 rutenoj, unusola ĉeĥo).
