The Brothers Grimm, Jakob Ludwig Karl Grimm (January 4 1785 – September 20 1863) and Wilhelm Karl Grimm (February 24 1786 – December 16 1859), were both giants in the field of Germanic philology, though they are best remembered by the general reading public for their Kinder- und Hausmärchen (Children's and Household Tales). This title is often, rather inaccurately, translated as Grimm's Fairy Tales.
For the film of the same name see The Brothers Grimm (film).
