Meldal is a village in Orkland municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. Prior to the creation of the Orkland municipality, it was the administrative centre of Meldal municipality. The village is located in the Orkdalen valley, along the river Orkla. The village of Å lies about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the south, the village of Løkken Verk lies about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the north, and the village of Storås lies about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the northwest.
