Dutch

Etymology

From ver- -en + kaas (cheese); the derogatory sense derives from the association of cheese with ethnic Dutch people (see kaaskop).

Verb

verkazen

  2. (intransitive, pathology) To caseate.
  3. (intransitive, Netherlands, often derogatory) To become more Dutch; to assimilate or integrate into Dutch culture and society.
