Usage notes
In some cases, a shuttle bus operator such as an airport, hotel, or retirement community may offer to take all or certain passengers to a wider range of locations as needed as an additional courtesy. Compare the similar expanded uses of limousine and the more generally variable shared taxi, whose use is usually not limited to a certain establishments' current customers.
