- (law, of a legal obligation) Undertaken by or assigned to two or more parties, each having liability for the entire obligation.
- The debt of a general partnership is a joint and several liability of each general partner.
- The full amount of the rent is the joint and several obligation of each signatory, including non-tenant co-signers, of the lease.
