draught excluder (plural draught excluders)
- A flexible strip attached to the bottom or side of a door to prevent draughts entering through the gap.
- 1959 December, “New TPOs for the Western Region”, in Trains Illustrated, page 581:
- Each coach is insulated by a four-inch thickness of fibreglass and heated by two overhead 2 in. steam pipes, while all external doors close into rubber draught excluders.
- Any other object used to prevent draughts, such as a chimney balloon.
