Found suffixed exclusively to verbs loaned from Latin verbs in the first conjugation, -ō, -āre, hence likely itself borrowed from Latin -āta n pl (“-ed things”). Compare gjykatë (“court”), akin to Romanian judecată (“judgement; court”), and note also Italian -ata often used found in the same deverbal scope.
