ำ
When it is solely used with a consonant, it produces /am/ without any final consonant.
This glyph is recommended to use instead of typing ◌ํ and then า.
Borrowed from Old Khmer -am- on the basis of pairs such as ขลัง (klǎng, “potent”) and กำลัง (gam-lang, “vigour”) from the ancestors of modern Khmer ខ្លាំង (khlang) and កម្លាំង (kɑmlang).
