Etymology

Inherited from Proto-Turkic *sid-tük (urine), a development from *sīd- (to urinate), whence سیمك (simek, to urinate). Cognate with Azerbaijani sidik, Bashkir һейҙек (heyźek), Karakhanid سِذُكْ (siδük), Kazakh сідік (sıdık), Kyrgyz сийдик (siydik), Turkmen sidik, Uyghur سىيدىك (siydik) and Uzbek siydik.
