Betula platyphylla, the Asian white birch[1] or Japanese white birch,[2] is a tree species in the family Betulaceae.[1][3] It can be found in subarctic and temperate Asia in Japan, China, Korea, Mongolia, and Russian Far East and Siberia. It can grow to be 30 m (98 ft) tall.[3]
