For your outstanding work on templates, you deserve this - Pheonix15 16:48, 31 August 2007 (UTC) |
I noticed the message you recently left to Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Udreams. Please remember to try not to bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. I don't generally believe in templating the regulars, but your MFD of User:Udreams is a classic example of how we should not treat new users. Please try to give new users a chance to contribute to the project. After Midnight 0001 13:26, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi Miranda. I'm surprised that you haven't been messaged about this yet, so I'm going to take the leap and do it myself! I'm going to try to remind you about not biting the newbies. We were all once new here, and we need to try to remember that, and treat others as we would have liked to have been treated. Getting a message about how our user page is about to be deleted just two hours after joining the project is not going to make us want to stay, and I know that it would have made me leave. The damage seems to have been done in this case, and I suspect that we've lost another contributor to Wikipedia, before he's even made any contribs. Wikipedia has a bad enough reputation - we need to actively encourage people to join and help, not drive them away.
However, there may be a way to repair some of the damage. The user who was the target of the MfD has enabled email from other users. I would encourage you to go for this opportunity. Thanks, Martinp23 21:18, 2 September 2007 (UTC).
When you create an account at WP:ACC, please place a {{ACC|c}}

TrUcO9308 21:44, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Thank You for the banner ad for WikiProject Reggaeton. Um are you interested in joining?
Somehow when I was trying to update the overview template with your newest ad, it showed no image under the ad. That's weird...any clue what's causing it?¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 23:26, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi Miranda. I was unaware of a sort of "administrative patrol trial" as you mentioned on the Betacommand 2 RfA. Could you provide any further information about that? I was unaware of such a trial, and am curious. Thanks, Iamunknown 02:12, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

I thank you for participating in my successful request for adminship, which ended with 60 supports, no opposes, no neutrals, and one abstain. Thank you very much for your thoughtful comments, and I certainly see where you were coming from with your concerns. Edison 17:18, 7 September 2007 (UTC) |
Hi! The text in the image is wrong – it should be libre, not gratis. See Gratis versus Libre. This is quite a fundamental difference.
The banners are great though, and it would be cool if you could make one with Norwegian text as well – the text would be Frie bilder for alle. Jon Harald Søby 15:34, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
It got lost in a revert a while ago but I put it in back in June. I reinserted the attribution on the talk page. Thanks for the offer of making a military motif page, but I'll pass, I'm fond of the current version for the time being. When I get sick of it though, I'll probably ask you for a law related page (gavels, and scales of justice etc.) Thanks....⇒ SWATJester Denny Crane. 03:48, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I'm just curious why you are criticizing me because of the joke. I wasn't biting him or anything, it was all a joke. Wasn't in anyway serious, all in jest. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 18:33, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
(reduce indent) Okay. Well, you also might want to work on making edit summaries. Miranda 04:23, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed that you made a banner ad for the WikiProject Reggaeton and as I work heavily on the WikiProject Food and Drink and have wanted to create a similar promotional item, could you direct me to how one creates such a thing?--Christopher Allen Tanner, CCC 19:15, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

There is no doubt this user was actively spamming Wikipedia, but I've seen no evidence of sockpuppetry. Can you expand on that? (Please leave me a note when you've answered.) - Mgm|(talk) 09:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I haven't followed the Encyclopedist. Is it the AfD or the spoofing that leads you to believe this is a sock? -- Flyguy649 talk contribs 07:21, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Hey, Miranda. I was wondering if you'd be willing to make an ad for WikiProject External links. It's a small project that I'm trying to revive, and figured this would be a good way to get it some attention. Thanks, Arky ¡Hablar! 19:54, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting the edit to my talk page. That IP is a sockpuppet of User:Nam3witha3init. There's a long term vandal who targets Craig Charles and associated articles using 58.84 prefixed IPs or IPs such as the one above registered to Flinders University, if you check the article history it goes back to about July 2006. I'm seriously thinking of protecting my page, at least for a day or so. He claims he has a life, although apparently its an off night for him tonight if he cannot find anything more fun than vandalizing my user page. KillerChihuahua?!? 02:03, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Dear Miranda,
Thank you for your participation in my RFA, which closed successfully with 83 supports, 1 oppose, and 0 neutrals. No matter if you voted (I mean, "!voted") support or oppose, I thank you for taking the time to drop by. I'm new, remember, so if you have any suggestions feel free to inform me of them, and if I do anything wrong, feel free to add to the permanent chorus of disapproval on my talk page. Special thanks to WaltonOne and Dihydrogen Monoxide for nominating me.
This design was brazenly stolen from inspired by Тhε Rαnδom Eδιτor's RFA Thanks, which in turn was inspired by Phaedriel's RFA thanks.
Hi Miranda, I just wanted to thank you for the support you showed regarding the recent unpleasant experience with impersonation I had. I know we've not really talked yet, but I most certainly have bumped into you many times, and I respect you a lot, so it was such a delight to wake up to find you had left words of encouragement, thank you so much! You have no right to make any threats against me for violating WP:3RR when you are just as guilty. If you revert any of the "Incorporated" changes, you will be blocked as well. Please keep that in mind, and also try some civility. It will get you much further than this current attitude does. Justinm1978 04:01, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
I've noticed in the history of pages you revert edits and identify them as vandalism a lot, even though sometimes they are just good faith. That's why you won't be an admin either, because you think you can boss other users around and say things are vandalism even when they aren't(sometimes). See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Melina_Perez&diff=159084390&oldid=159082790 .... you identify that as vandalism? That is good faith and even if it isn't it certainly isn't vandalism. Administrators can correctly identify vandalism, and since it would seem you can't that's why you won't be one. Wwefan980 18:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
By the way I'm not an admin hopeful which is why I don't care if I am one. Wwefan980 18:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

I offered to mediate the current case you are involved in here. I would appreciate a response. Sincerely, --Тhε Rαnδom Eδιτor 03:15, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your support in my Request for Adminship, which passed with 50 supports, 1 neutral, and 1 oppose. My goal is to keep earning your trust every time I grab the "mop". (And I'm always open to constructive criticism and advice!) Again, thanks. --Fabrictramp 17:01, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Your quite welcome, I was glad to find these videos too, Unfortunately though it looks like the person who posted them on YouTube has unceremoniously removed them without even an explanation, I'll search YouTube again to see if they have been reposted or if someone else posted them. A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Curtis Willkie, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. KenWalker | Talk 15:43, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Soulsista.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:20, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi. Sorry for taking your time. You seem to be an experienced talk page ad creator. I am thinking about making ads for WikiProjects I am involved in and would like to ask you which software is best for doing this. Thanks. Tbo 157(talk) (review) 19:14, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi again. Sorry to keep bothering you but I have been trying all morning to create an ad banner but GIMP is very hard to use for me as I am not an experienced graphical software user. Since you seem to be very experienced with using the programme, could you possibly create one for Wikipedia:WikiProject Engineering. If you can create one then I would like a dark blue background and the folowing images included, Image:Nuvola apps kcmsystem.svg, Image:Nuvola apps kig.png, Image:Nuvola apps kmplot.png and Image:Nuvola apps kcalc.png as suggested on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Engineering#Gaining more members. Your help will be greatly appreciated by the wikiproject as we need more members but I will understand if you can't make the ad for whatever reason. I would once again like to apologise for taking your time. Thanks. Tbo 157(talk) (review) 12:35, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your suggestions. I've responded to them and would like to see your feedback. Thanks! - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 14:40, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
