JIP,
I sincerely hope your holiday season goes well this year especially with what we went through last year. I'm optimistic that 2022 will be a better year for all of us: both in real life and on Wikipedia. Wishing you the best from, Interstellarity (talk) 18:58, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
On 23 December 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Minttu, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that when a batch of the peppermint liqueur Minttu turned yellow because of iron contamination, Americans just marketed it as an "older vintage"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Minttu. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Minttu), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

An article you recently created, Milzwurst, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello JIP,
I have been reading with interest some of your Finland-related articles. (I lived in Helsinki for a while, and became interested in Finnish history.)
You will have seen that I have made a lot of edits to your article on the Assassination of Nikolay Bobrikov. I hope you are OK with these. My aim was mainly to tidy up the English, although I have added one or two additional bits of information as well. If you see anything that you disagree with, please feel free to revert.
In particular, I might have got into a bit of a muddle with some of the citations, especially to Tuomo Polvinen's book, some of which refer to the Finnish version and some to the English translation. I hope these make sense.
With best wishes, Mike Marchmont (talk) 17:24, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Hotel Korpilampi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hotel Korpilampi. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The article Toppelund School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Primary schools very rarely meet WP:GNG, and this one is no exception.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Hi, I am VickKiang and am a new member of the WikiProject Board and Table Games. While I tried to revise and find refs for the board game Kivi which you created, I could not find much info, except for the one ref provided. I have temporarily placed a notability tag (but am unsure what to do next), do you know if there are more sources you can find (possibly in a book or magazine)? Thanks for your help. VickKiang (talk) 23:01, 21 March 2022 (UTC)

The article AKU. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence that this one-off was notable. Sources are a press release, the company that published it, and one source about the decision to not publish a second issue. If an article for the longer-lived Dutch version existed, a redirect / minor merge might have been an option.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Hi,
I was just patrolling the NewPagesFeed and saw your article come up. I'm currently checking sources for notability; unfortunately, I can't seem to bypass the paywall on the second source listed; do you mind directing me to some way I can see the content of the article? @JIP, Sir Sputnik, GiantSnowman, JTtheOG, Wikiholics, and JIP, could you possibly have a little look at this article?: I can read a little of the YLE Svenaka reference, but the Finnish references may as well be in Elvish. Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 09:27, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

Hey, JIP. I'm very concerned about the articles you're translating wholesale from fi.wikipedia directly to article space without improving the often unacceptable sources. I think you should think about creating these articles in draft or user space and find sources that support notability before moving them to main space. valereee (talk) 15:00, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
