Tobias James Smith (born (2003-12-23)23 December 2003), better known online as Tubbo (also Tubbo_;[3] formerly SuperManPower500, Blue Turtle, Spectrum_XP and OrphicTubbo[4]) is a British YouTuber, Twitch streamer and musician, known primarily for his Minecraft-related content. In 2020, Smith joined fellow YouTuber and Twitch streamer Dream's survival-multiplayer Minecraft server, the Dream SMP.[5][6]

Personal life

Tobias James Smith[12] was born in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, England[13][better source needed] on (2003-12-23)23 December 2003.[14][15] He has two younger sisters, Lani[16] and Teagan.[17] Lani Smith also streams on Twitch, under the name LanuSky.[18][19]

Smith has dyslexia.[20][21] When he was younger, he was an international trampolinist.[20][22] He isn't heterosexual, but chooses not to publicly label himself further then that.[23]

Inactive YouTube Channels

In February of 2017, Smith created his first YouTube channel, a Minecraft-centric channel called Blue Turtle.[24] In May of the same year, he uploaded the first video to this channel.[25] He uploaded the last video to this channel in October 2017.[26]

Smith also has a channel called Tubb, which has just two videos on it, both of which are a Minecraft series called Blockworth, with other YouTubers, including TommyInnit.[27]

He also has a channel called The Let's Play Channel, which containes various Minecraft Let's Plays.[28]

On 14th May 2018, Smith created his current, main YouTube channel.[29] On this channel, he uploads highlights from his Twitch streams, and vlogs.

Smith created his Twitch channel in 2018, under the name SupermanPower500. The channel also had the names Spectrum_XP and OrphicTubbo, before it was renamed to just Tubbo.[4]

Smith became a Twitch partner in 2020.[31] In 2020, Smith joined the Minecraft survival-multiplayer, role-playing server, the Dream SMP.[5][6]

In 2019, Smith released his Minecraft server, TubNet. The server was planned to re-release on 26 August 2022 as a cross-platform minigames server,[32] however, due to Cloudflare not being able to handle the amount of people joining the server's open beta version, the release date was postponed to an then-unknown date.[33] It was later revealed the new release date, for Minecraft Java Edition, would be 25 November 2022.[34] The server released that day, and later released on Minecraft Bedrock Edition on _____. Also in 2022, Smith joined the gaming organisation Misfits Gaming.[35][36] TubNet is co-owned by Smith and Misfits Gaming's CEO, Ben Spoont.[37][better source needed]

Music

Smith released his debut single Life By The Sea on 27 August 2021, alongside a music video.[11] The song peaked at number 80 on the UK Singles Chart.[38] It was produced by CG5, who also did some vocals; Dan Bull helped with lyrics, and Karsten Belt played saxophone.[39]
