I work as a science communicator at Duke University's Superfund Research Center (North Carolina, USA). Our research scientists study both the health effects of toxic chemicals like those found at Superfund sites and also strategies for cleaning up contaminated sites. I communicate about results of their research and generally about the state of the science on these topics. Our work is funded by the United States' National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). My time for many of my edits related to environmental health and toxic exposures is funded by this program.
Sometimes I collaborate offline with researchers in Duke's Superfund Research Program and our colleagues about page edits related to our research topics. Due to the nature of uploads to Wikipedia, my or their contributions may not be attributed in the editing history.
