Hello, I am Cakiva, an editor on Wikipedia. I am a religious Sepharadi Jew whose education comes from the traditions before assimilation of the majority of my people into various forms of Ashkenazi Judaism. My edits are primarily done in the interest of de-centering Ashkenazi Jewish religious custom on articles or pages that are supposed to be about general Jewish culture, of which Ashkenazi culture and custom are only a part of, and not the default of. (this is also known as Ashkenormativity) This also extends to pages about Ashkenazi culture or tradition that suggest or mislead a reader into believing that these traditions are the "default" Jewish traditions, customs, beliefs or practices.
