No details are yet available.
'Miller Park' was found to have a resistance to Dutch elm disease.[1] No other specific information is available, but the species is generally moderately preferred for feeding and reproduction by the adult Elm Leaf Beetle Xanthogaleruca luteola,[2] and highly preferred for feeding by the Japanese Beetle Popillia japonica [3][4] in the United States. U. americana is the most susceptible of all the elms to verticillium wilt.[5]
The tree was used as a control alongside 'Valley Forge' in the assessment of another Ulmus americana clone, 'St Croix'.[1]
