This article currently says that the band's most famous lineup is the Taiji lineup, but the Yoshiki article says the Heath lineup is the most well known. There needs to be some consistency. Knight of Ashitaka 15:54, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
While it is true that Yoshiki worked with RMT, as far as I know the only time he did was c. 1994, before X-Japan broke up. If Yoshiki and RMT have worked together since 2000 we need a citation. Knight of Ashitaka 15:54, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
In the header area, it mentions that the music of X constantly evolved through the watchful eye of Yoshiki, which is true, but two of the songs cited were not written by yoshiki. hide and Taiji are essential members of X, but I think Silent Jealousy and Kurenai would be better suited as examples, since they were actually written like him. Or maybe something like Rose of Pain.
Any ideas?
Listen to the song "Scars" by X (written by hide), and then listen to a few of Velvet Revolver's tracks, especially the likes of "Slither". I have a sneaking feeling that this song or sound was copied by Velvet Revolver, which is only aided by the fact that Duff McKagen and Dave Kushner (members of Velvet Revolver) were previously involved with Zilch. Anyone willing to help me out on this one? I think I could be onto something.
Yeah, the song is a copy in the middle it's the same =_=
X Japan was not alternative rock in the Dahlia era. It was progressive/hard rock.
Scars, White Poem I, Wriggle, and Drain were alt-rock songs, as, possibly, was Rusty Nail. Four of the other songs on the album were piano based ballads (Longing, Crucify My Love, Tears and Forever Love). Knight of Ashitaka 15:35, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
There has been an increasing number of users with addtions of very poor grammar. There has been several instances where a gramatically correct sentence has been edited, and "corrected" to incorrect grammar. Please make sure that what you post is of correct grammar, and don't edit existing sentences if you are unsure of the grammar yourself.
Please also make sure that the information that you "add" to the the article has not already been mention elsewhere in the article.
Also, please avoid the use of Weasel Words.
I hope together we can work together to create a great article. Himurakenshin 22:12, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm the one that is wrting about X Japan here and with poor grammar, I'll tel you something, I'm a spaniard of 14 years old and my English is very bad, I hope you understand me ;)--Darkcat21 10:49, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Its no problem. Just try to avoid chaning existing sentences if you are unsure of the grammar, and thanks for all your contributions. Perhaps consider contributing to the spanish wikipedia instead. I don't mean to be harsh, but poor grammar means that the page would constantly have to be corrected for all of your edits. --Himurakenshin 01:42, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Is the line-up table really necessary? 90% of the entries are very early line ups when the band was unstable and before they became popular, which would not have much relevance to the article, as the primary focus should be pre extasy record debut. I think the pre-extasy band member section suffices, rather than having a long large table, which does not display properly in low resolutions as well.Himurakenshin 05:14, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Me (who created the table): yes, is necessary, i'm searching information fo all the meber, only wait please. --darkcat21
Its not that the information of the members are not important, but because most of the line-up changes took place before the band was properly formed, as many bands do, and hence is not important as the topic of the article is of the formed X Japan. A small section regarding pre-extasy release members is included, and I believe it suffices, as the line up table is very large and takes up alot of space.--Himurakenshin 03:15, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Removed --darkcat21
Added all singles and albums that I could find. Revth 10:01, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I also believe there should be a re-write. Most of the article now is pre-Extasy Records releases, and little relevance to the band. 209.183.13.250 01:47, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
How is stuff the band did not relevent to the band? You confuse me. --69.251.161.71 18:44, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
A rewrite is on the works here: Sn0wflake/X Japan. It may take a while, it may not. However, what matters is that it will be of superior quality. --Sn0wflake 07:57, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC) The song foreign sand by Roger Taylor and Yoshiki should be in the year 1994, not after X Japan was disbanded.
seems "slightly" biased, and is giving that editors opinion of the band, and therefore isnt neutral
The discography table should not look as it does for me. In the code, it is a "wikitable" and leftcentered. For me, it's aligned to the right and not a wikitable. I have cleaned my cache, and when I preview the section which contains the table I see it correctly... What's wrong? /Grillo 21:57, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
I have edited the template, and for example in the Art of Life article, it looks good, but in the main one not =/ what's wrong?
hello, i'm the author of the "Live Performances" part, please don't remove it, if there are some mistakes please correct it, but please don't delete it =(, thanks.
I'm going to remove the comment that "despite their short existance" X Japan made a huge impact. The band was active for 15 years, while other influencial bands, such as The Beatles for example(who were only around for 10) were active for a much shorter time. The statement is kinda misleading as to how long X was actually around.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:205.188.117.7 Have put some strange stuff on the main page, i have fixed the page but please report the vandalism because i don't know how to do it :$
I haven't checked this page for a while, but I was pretty surprised at what I saw.
The article contains a lot of redundant stuff, but I didn't edit that.
What irked me was the grammar. These article should only have be edited if you don't talked likes this. I made a few revisions, but there are a few more.
The article seems a bit biased due to some new editings. And as I said, digressed from the main point. Too much information isn't a good thing.
Also, a revision that I feel is a bit sad that I had to do is the capitalization of song names, and most importantly the band.
It's not "X Japan". It's "X JAPAN". Learn it.
It's "VANISHING VISION", not "Vanishing Vision"
It's "BLUE BLOOD", "ART OF LIFE", "DAHLIA" etcetera.
Sad enough that I had to edit the discography article.

Hey! Don't say this! Here the only who's writting is me a spaniard who don't know lot of english but he's trying to expand the article, so if you see some mistakes fixed it, and don't say this. I expand the article because i wanna make it like this for example: es:X Japan that's a good article! Darkcat21 18:38, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
~
Well, whatever. I can't stop your 'contributions'. At least know the name of the band/songs.
~5:00, October 17th, by an still irritated anonymous fan.
I know the name of the songs, be sure about this ;)
I am sure. The name of the songs from VANISHING VISION, BLUE BLOOD, and DAHLIA are all upper case.
~12:00, October 26, by an anonymous fan trying to justify himself.
Not, from Dahlia all not, just DAHLIA, SCARS, CRUCIFY MY LOVE, WRIGGLE AND DRAIN.Darkcat21 16:45, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
My bad. It was late. 'THE LAST SONG' and 'ART OF LIFE' as well.
~1:27 AM, October 27, by an anonymous fan that fails.
The Wikipedia manual of style is rather specific regarding full capitalization: The use of title case is encouraged and therefore should also be applied to album and song titles, over time. While the previous comments made by the "anonymous fan" did little to actually improve the article itself, (s)he was right about the text being quite redundant. I have removed one of the two summaries of X Japan's stylistic development from the top section, along with a few statements which given the citations they were presented with (fan and record label sites) didn't fulfill the NPOV policy. - Cyrus XIII 01:37, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, whatever.
~The Anonymous fan
I have seen the part of the movie where X Japan (then known as "X," and referred to as thusly in the movie) makes an appearance. I also checked IMDB, and they are listed there - however, I wiki'd IMDB and found that IMDB is not always a very reliable source. I am absolutely sure they appeared in the movie, though. How should this be cited? Shiryu22 19:27, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
