The article says: "In the year 1217 Hubert de Burgh King Henry III's justiciar compelled king Louis of France to agree to peace terms". According to our List of French monarchs page, wasn't Philip II of France in power between 1180 to 1223? Is there a date issue here, or is this referring to the king-to-be Louis VIII of France who came into power half a decade later? Can't sleep, clown will eat me 09:55, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
The etymology is not correct, but speculative. The real orgin is of Old English, see etymonline. --Finn Bjørklid (talk) 00:14, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Maybe I missed this, but the port looks to be pretty far from the water, can that be explained? --AW (talk) 04:10, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
The webshots link for the 'Ham Sandwich' sign is dead, so I'm going to remove it. In any case the photo already appears on the page for Ham. does anyone know of a source for the claim that it's been taken down? I can't find anything by googling... --Slimeypete (talk) 15:44, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
