There are no sources cited for this information and it also neglects information on the fact that the surname Pan has existed far longer than the story that is being presented, some sources find it during the Spring and Autumn Period that predates the Qing dynasty by a long length of time. Thich means the "Ping to Pan" story is but one (possibly a very minor) family line for those bearing the surname. It is also possibly not quite correct in stating that the surname is "Pun" but mistakenly spelt as Poon by those who do not wish to create confusion within the English language as Poon is the official romanisation used in Hong Kong who do not necessarily use the Yale or Jyutping system, this is not to say that the origin of "Poon" isn't as stated in the article, but the use of Poon would be considered a correct romanisation regardless. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.242.93 (talk • contribs)
