I don't this is intended as a genre as indicated above. Is it;
Should it contain:
I'm starting to think a comprehensive WA article is needed. e.g. Bridgetown Blues Fred.e 19:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Education needs a mention, maybe someone who knows something about, WAAPA, Perth Modern, The Perth Conservatory, and Johhny Yound Talent School et el can contribute a Education sub heading. petedavo
Jazz seems to be having a big following in Perth, but I know bugger all about the scene.petedavo
History of musical entertainment in Perth would have a huge amount to put in it. There's just so much that I can think of here. It would be a shame to lose it, because quite frankly many of the younger generation are not aware of it.petedavo 10:36, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Indeed that is true :) SatuSuro 10:55, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
The page is very useful already, as an introduction to music in Perth. Plus all the suggestions above are very valuable. Eventually I would like to see it as a starting point, with links to things like History, Live Music, Artists, Radio Stations etc. Gjdaniell (talk) 04:38, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
One oversight in a lot of this is aboriginal music and its presence/influence historically and today. I will spend some time trying to get as much info as I can to expand this article. Also no mention of the stadium — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.255.81.6 (talk) 01:06, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Excepting for some at Brigadoon etc most of the music festivals seem to be in the country. (South West esp: Fairbridge, Bridgetown et el) but these maybe warrant some mention.petedavo 15:29, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
I'd like to see a table of major venues with capacites & examples of artists that have played there:-
Venue | Capacity | Years Active | Notable Concerts |
---|---|---|---|
Subiaco Oval | 40,000 | 1972- | Led Zeppelin, Robbie Williams, The Eagles |
The WACA | ? | 1973- | The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Meatloaf |
Burswood Dome | 13,600 | 1987-2007 | Red Hot Chilli Peppers, R.E.M., Kylie Minogue |
Add it & expand it if you like the idea Megamanic 09:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
