Segilola Ogidan is a Nigerian-British actress, writer, director, and filmmaker.[1] She is a graduate of Media Arts from Royal Holloway University of London, she also has a master's degree from University of Bristol where she majored in cinema studies.[2] She is popularly known for playing "Ajike" in Netflix original film, A Naija Christmas.[3]

Segilola started acting professionally after her studies when she landed a role in Peter Pan at The Kings Head Theater, a stage play musical directed by Stephanie Sinclaire.[1] Segilola appeared in RED TV's series, The Men's Club where she played the character "Tonye".[4] Ogidan has also appeared in some other movies including the Netflix film released in 2022, Glamour Girls', Fault Lines, Payday, Tainted Canvas, Over The Bridge, and recently in 2024 The Man Died.[5]

Nomination and recognition
In 2022, Segilola was nominated for the NET honor award in the category breakout actress of the year, she was nominated for her performance as the star actor in the film, A Naija Christmas.[6]
In 2024, Segilola received an AMVCA Best Actress nomination for her outstanding work in Tolu Ajayi's 'Over The Bridge', a multi award winning film that has taken the world by storm.
As a Director, Segilola has been nominated and won several awards, notably for her directorial debut film, 'Tainted Canvas'. From winning Best Screenplay in Monaco at the Angel Film Festival, to being nominated for Best Film at the 2022 AMVCA, to winning the Jury grand prize for Outstanding Film at the AFRICA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (AFRIFF), in 2021.
