Shaheed Bhagat Singh College

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is a constituent college of Delhi University. It was established as a co-educational institute in 1967 named after Bhagat Singh. It acquired postgraduate status in the initial 7 years. The College celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2016-17.[2]

The college is a part of the South Campus and is located in Sheikh Sarai II. The college has a computerised library, computer lab, geography lab and mathematics lab. The college has arrangements for various sports and games like cricket, hockey, football, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, kho-kho, athletics, gymnastics, carrom and chess.[3]

At the undergraduate level, it offers three-year degrees as below mentioned courses.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics & Mathematics, Economics & Commerce, English & History, Geography & Political Science, Hindi & Geography, and History & Political Science.
  • Honours degree in English, Economics, Hindi, History, Geography, Mathematics, Political Science and Commerce.

At the postgraduate level, it offers a Master of Commerce degree.[6]

University Express ranked its morning batch of Commerce undergraduate department at number 5 among all the Delhi university colleges, giving its faculty a 10/10 score.[7]
