Sønder Omme

Sønder Omme often abbreviated to Sdr. Omme, is a town in Billund Municipality, Region of Southern Denmark in Denmark.[2] It is located 30 km southeast of Skjern, 20 km east of Ølgod, 26 km southeast of Tarm, 21 km southwest of Brande and 10 km north of the municipal seat Grindsted.

As of 1 January 2024 the population of Sønder Omme was 1,710,[1] making it the third largest town in Billund Municipality.

Sønder Omme Church was built in the Romanesque period of granit ashlar on granit foundations, and consists of a chancel and nave. The nave was extended in granite ashlar around the time of the Reformation.[3]
Sdr. Omme Kro (Sdr. Omme Inn) is a historical roadside inn located at the main street in the centre of the town.[4]
Omme Lift A/S, a manufacturer of trailer and crawler lifts, is located in the western part of the town.[5]
Sdr. Omme State Prison is located 2 km southeast of Sønder Omme.
