Food product From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pickle juice is generally salt dissolved in vinegar with additional herbs and spicy flavours used for preserving food by pickling, but which is also reputed to have health benefits, notably for the relief of cramps.[1]
Although there is no standard recipe or formula[2] nor are the he health benefits medically confirmed, the remedy is said to be promoted by trainers of notable sports people such as Carlos Alcaraz.[3]
It is probable that most varieties of pickle juice are low in calories and sugar but in each case users should consult the information provided by the maker. An effective serving may be less than about 10 ml (½ US fl oz).[4][5]
