Obed (biblical figure)

According to the Biblical Narrative, Obed (Hebrew: עוֹבֵד, ‘Ōḇēḏ, "worshipper") was a son of Boaz and Ruth.^[2] He is named as one of Jesus' ancestors in the genealogies recorded in the Gospel of Matthew^[3] and the Gospel of Luke.^[4]
