Son of Boaz and Ruth in the Hebrew Bible From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to the Biblical Narrative, Obed (Hebrew: עוֹבֵד, ‘Ōḇēḏ, "worshipper") was a son of Boaz and Ruth.[2] He is named as one of Jesus' ancestors in the genealogies recorded in the Gospel of Matthew[3] and the Gospel of Luke.[4]
