Mauro Caballero (footballer, born 1994)

Mauro Andrés Caballero Aguilera (born 27 September 1994) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Chilean club San Luis de Quillota.^[1]

In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Caballero and the second or maternal family name is Aguilera.

Career

Caballero played for Libertad U20 at the 2011 U-20 Copa Libertadores, where he scored 3 goals during the competition, including a double against Universitario de Deportes U20 and one goal against Boca Juniors U20.

On 31 August 2021, he moved to Académica de Coimbra.^[2]

In 2024, he joined Primera B de Chile club San Luis de Quillota from Georgian club Torpedo Kutaisi.^[3]

Personal life

He is the son of the former Paraguayan international footballer of the same name, Mauro Antonio Caballero, who played for the club Torpedo Kutaisi.
