Hungarian sprint canoeist (born 1986) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mátyás Sáfrán (born January 23, 1986, in Székesfehérvár)[1] is a Hungarian sprint canoeist who has competed since 2007. He twice won the gold medal in the C-4 1000 m event at the European Championships, in 2009 and 2011.

He also won a bronze in the C-4 1000 m event at the 2007 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Duisburg.
At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Sáfrán was eliminated in the semifinals of the C-2 500 m event.
