- Pope Cooper, Patrick Real and Charles Chubb were compulsorily retired as a result of the Judges Retirement Act 1921 (Qld),[3][4]
- Brothers Hugh and Neal Macrossan as well as their nephew John Macrossan were all appointed Chief Justice
- Philip McMurdo is the husband of Margaret McMurdo, the former President of the Court of Appeal.
- In 1995 the position of Senior Puisne Judge was renamed Senior Judge Administrator.[9]
- Prior to the separation of the Moreton Bay district of New South Wales into the independent colony of Queensland, the Supreme Court of New South Wales was the superior court in the District. A judge was resident at Moreton Bay from 1856 and a local division of the court, named the Supreme Court at Moreton Bay, was established in 1857,[10] and existed until the Supreme Court of Queensland was created in 1861.
