Kasumigaoka Station is served by the Sanyo Electric Railway Main Line and is 10.7 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Nishidai.

Kasumigaoka Station opened on April 12, 1917 as Utashikiyama Station (歌敷山駅). It was renamed to its present name on June 1, 1964
In fiscal 2018, the station was used by an average of 1041 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[1]
