Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy (born 1 July 2002) is a Vietnamese model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss International 2024, she previously was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022. Her victory as Miss International 2024 marks the second time that Vietnam won one of the Big Four beauty pageants, six years after Nguyễn Phương Khánh won as Miss Earth 2018.

Early life
Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy was born on July 1, 2002 in Da Nang. In the Da Nang Excellent Student Selection Examination for the 2019–2020 school year, she won second prize in the Vietnamese literature contest.[1] She is currently studying English Language at the University of Foreign Language Studies, a member of the University of Da Nang system. At the same time, she also studying at University of Greenwich.[1]

Miss Vietnam 2022
Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss University of Foreign Languages - University of Da Nang 2021, so she represented her university at the 2021 Da Nang City Elegant Student Competition and won the 1st runner-up position. She then represented the city at Miss Vietnam 2022. She was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022 on December 23, 2022 at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. She was succeeded by the outgoing Miss Vietnam 2020, Đỗ Thị Hà. During the pageant, she entered the top 5 of Fast Track Beauty with a Purpose and Multimedia and won the Sport award.[2]

In the competition that decided Thanh Thuy to win in the top 8, she was asked the question:
"What is the most important global event that has affected your generation's education system?"
And she responded:
"I think it is the emergence of the global educational system during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the COVID-19 we had to stay at home and learn online. It is the opportunity for the growth of Edtech development. And I hope that students will have more chances to explore the opportunity for learning through Edtech in support of SDG number 4 - quality education"

She was announced as Vietnam's representative at Miss International 2024.[3] There was significant controversy surrounding Thanh Thuy’s prestigious position as Miss Vietnam, a title that has never sent any winner to pageants other than Miss World, which is one of the big four beauty pageants.[4] She was crowned Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, succeeding Andrea Rubio.[5]
