Frącki [ˈfrɔnt͡skʲi] is a settlement, part of the village of Pogórze, in the administrative district of Gmina Biała, within Prudnik County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north of Biała, 17 km (11 mi) north-east of Prudnik, and 30 km (19 mi) south-west of the regional capital Opole. Historically located in Upper Silesia, in the Prudnik Land.
The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the word wrona, which means "crow".[2] Its old Polish forms were Wronza and Fronka.[2]
