KLOF Magazine primarily features writings on music as well as interviews with a wide range of notable artists and musicians.[2]
Their coverage is described as eclectic and non-mainstream and includes Folk music, jazz, Psychedelic music, world music, alternative, Experimental Music and avant-garde. [3]
Alongside interviews, the magazine also invites musicians to write guest articles, this includes a popular series called Off the Shelf, in which artists photograph and present objects from their homes and talk about them.[4]
Related works and projects
- In May 2023, KLOF Mag began a rolling weekly playlist called The Monday Morning Brew, available to listen to on Apple Music and Spotify.
- KLOF Mag began a new Mixtape Series in January 2015, titled Lost in Transmission, that focussed on more contemporary folk and alternative music. The series is hosted on the British streaming music service Mixcloud.
- KLOF Mag began another new Mixtape Series in 2018 titled 'KLOF', which featured more Experimental Music (also hosted on Mixcloud).
- A specialist folk music channel was launched on Deezer in 2012 which was curated by KLOF Magazine's editor.[5][6]
