Direcția Generală de Informații a Apărării (General Directorate for Defense Intelligence, DGIA) is Romanian Armed Forces's military intelligence agency, underneath the Ministry of National Defense.[1][2]
DGIA is organized into two directorates and a Military Intelligence Brigade:
- Direcția Informații Militare (Directorate of Military Intelligence - foreign intelligence)
- Direcția Contrainformații și Securitate Militară (Directorate of Counterintelligence and Military Security - counter-intelligence)
- Detașamentul Special de Protecție și Intervenție (DSPI)[3]
- 51st Radioelectronic Center[4]
- NATO HUMINT Centre Of Excellence (HCOE)[4]
- Defense Intelligence Domain Training Center "General Nicolae Condeescu"[4]
- Military Intelligence Brigade „Alexandru Averescu” with three battalions:[5]
