The Democratic Republican Party (Korean: 민주공화당; Hanja: 民主共和黨) was a conservative political party in South Korea that was founded on September 4, 1997. The party supported the presidential candidacies of its leader, Huh Kyung-young, in the 1997 and 2007 presidential elections. For the 2007 presidential election, it registered under the name the Economic Republican Party before reverting to its original name in 2008. It was repeatedly dissolved and re-registered throughout its history. Huh left the party by 2009, and was replaced as leader by Park Dong-gyu on June 22, 2009. It is now defunct.
