Kingdom of Paeonia — an ancient greek kingdom and culture in the southern Balkan Region of southeastern Europe. The kingdom's territory was immediately north of ancient Macedonia, west of ancient Thrace, south of Dardania, and east of ancient Illyria. It was populated by the ancient Paeonians and other peoples. The territory was conquered in the mid−4th century BCE by the Macedonian kingdom, and in the 2nd century BCE by ancient Rome.
