9-Phenanthrol

9-Phenanthrol is an aromatic alcohol derived from phenanthrene, a tricyclic compound. It is a TRPM4 channel inhibitor.^[1] It can prevent the pancreas from secreting insulin when stimulated by glucose.^[2]
