The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, a biennial world cup for cricket in Twenty20 International (T20I) format, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The second round also known as the Super stage or the Super 8 stage was played from 19 to 24 June 2024, between 8 teams advanced from the group stage. It was played in two groups of four with each team facing the other teams in the group for a total of 12 matches across four venues in the West Indies.[1]
The top two teams from each group—India and Afghanistan from Group 1; South Africa and England from Group 2—advanced to the knockout stage. Afghanistan and South Africa progressed to semi-final 1 while India and England progressed to semi-final 2.

Prior to the tournament, eight teams were seeded in the Super 8 stage based on their T20I rankings ahead of the tournament: Australia, India, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka in Group 1, and England, Pakistan, South Africa, and the West Indies in Group 2.[2]

- India was pre-allotted position A1 and qualified.[3]
- United States qualified and took position A2, which was originally pre-allotted to Pakistan, who failed to qualify.[4]
- Australia was pre-allotted position B2 and qualified.[5]
- England was pre-allotted position B1 and qualified.[6]
- Afghanistan qualified and took position C1, which was originally pre-allotted to New Zealand, who failed to qualify.[7]
- West Indies was pre-allotted position C2 and qualified.[8]

Outcome
- Group 2: On 23 June 2024, England became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals after defeating the United States at Kensington Oval.[29] Later on the same day, South Africa became the second team to qualify for the semi-finals after defeating the West Indies at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.[30] South Africa finished atop the table and progressed to semi-final 1, while England progressed to semi-final 2 and both the hosts were eliminated.[31]
- Group 1: On 24 June 2024, India became the third team to qualify for the semi-finals after defeating Australia at Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.[21] Later on the same day, Afghanistan became the last team to qualify for the semi-finals after defeating Bangladesh at Arnos Vale Stadium.[24] India finished atop the table and progressed to semi-final 2, while Afghanistan progressed to semi-final 1.[31]
