The 2024–25 season is the 145th season in the history of Preston North End Football Club and their tenth consecutive season in the Championship. In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, and the EFL Cup.

On 8 May, PNE announced they will spend a week training camp in San Pedro del Pinatar, with a friendly against Lincoln City.[37] A second friendly was later confirmed, with the traditional pre-season visit to Bamber Bridge added.[38] In June, a further three were added against Everton, Salford City and Southport.[39][40] On 20 June, the club announced Fiorentina would visit Deepdale during pre-season.[41]

FA Cup

As a Championship side, Preston North End entered the FA Cup in the third round, and were drawn at home to League One side Charlton Athletic.[52][53] They were drawn at home against League One side Wycombe Wanderers in the fourth round,[54] then at home to fellow Championship side Burnley in the fifth round.[55][56] In the quarter-finals, they were drawn at home to Premier League side Aston Villa.[57][49]
