The 2021–22 season was the 117th season in the existence of Leicester City F.C. and their 54th (non-consecutive) season in the top tier of English football. This was their seventh consecutive season in the Premier League. In addition to the domestic league, they also competed in this season's editions of the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the FA Community Shield, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Europa Conference League.

This was Leicester's first season since 2011–12, and first full season since 2010–11, to not feature former club captain Wes Morgan, who retired at the end of the previous campaign.

- Since the winners of the 2021–22 FA Cup and the 2021–22 EFL Cup, Liverpool, qualified for the Champions League, the spot given to the FA Cup winners (Europa League group stage) was passed to the sixth-placed team and the spot given to the League Cup winners (Europa Conference League play-off round) was passed to the seventh-placed team.[61]
