Garfield was born at Mamma Leoni's Italian Restaurant, where Jon Arbuckle adopted the young kitten and taught him basic education. After graduating from Williams College, Garfield enlisted as an officer of the United States Army in 1939. The young officer then quickly rose up the ranks, landing himself as a Major General by 1943. Garfield fought the Germans and the Japanese alike in both fronts. After the war, Garfield was elected as a Congressman, representing Ohio's 19th Congressional District. Garfield quickly earned his reputation as a great orator, which he used to his advantage to pass all laws he wished, including the 'Free KatFood4All' Act and the ever-controversial 'Lasagna4America' Act.
The 1956 Republican National Convention delegates chose Jon. L. Garfield as the Presidential candidate of the Party. On the 1956 National Elections, Garfield had promised the American people that he would defeat its enemies within just a month, defeating the Democratic candidate Richard M. Nixon by a landslide. Garfield's accomplishment within his first 100 Days includes the defeat of the communist forces in Vietnam and the annexation of Canada, Mexico, and Cuba. His administration also got rid of the problems people faced before his presidency, like corruption, poverty, crime, and the worst of all, the lack of Lasagna.
Jon L. Garfield ultimately resigned on January 20, 1996, after he felt that his job was done, Vice President of the United States Jon Arbuckle replaced Garfield as the President of the United States of Earth. Jon Garfield then resumed his post as a Major General of the United States Army.
