I noticed your edit to Oxyrhynchus hymn. Could you point out who and when it was argued that music was not used in early church services, and a citation for your addition? It would improve the explanation of its importance and make it more verifiable. Rigadoun (talk) 01:47, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the addition. However, I only see that The Churches of Christ argue against musical instruments, not just singing (from what I read there; I know nothing about them). As the hymn is only a melody, I don't see how it proves either way about instruments being used. Rigadoun (talk) 17:33, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
