By 2018, according to Forbes, figures are pretax; fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted, while earnings from female supermodels were based on income from cosmetics, fragrance and other contracts. They made the estimates based from interviews with numerous managers, agents, brand executives and industry experts.[1]
To compile our list, we estimated earnings from licensing ventures, runway shows, commercial catalogs, spokesperson gigs and contracts from fragrance and fashion companies.[2]

Male models are not included in the ranking as they typically earn far less than female models—one of the only industries where the gender pay gap is reversed. The last time FORBES ranked male models, in 2013, Sean O’Pry topped the list with an estimated $1.5 million.[3]
According PayScale as cites Forbes in 2013, female models had an average salary of $41,300, earning 148% more than male models.[2]
