I agree - I have 1 more in the pipeline then I will combine. I did think, though, that you would vote to delete that guy who failed his Primary? BlueValour 02:39, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
I made the changes because I feel that tiny photographs don't really add much while, on the other hand, a flag does. A flag is also a neutral symbol; choosing a photo of a notable politician from the state is inherently biased. As for state seals, they are also neutral symbols, so I don't really have a problem with using them either. I did briefly consider adding seals, but decided to just stick with the flags as that has been standard convention on many other templates. --tomf688 (talk - email) 15:04, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
You "voted" to move Category:Limited-access roads to Category:Freeways. If you would also support Category:Freeways and motorways, please modify your "vote". Thanks. --SPUI (T - C) 04:40, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
you 'deproded' the redir page with the reason given: deprod, prod isn't really for redirects, plus it is a plausible search term and no links is not a reason to delete a redirect
well if prod isn't for redirects, what should be used instead?
And by the way, I think USA national soccer team is a way more plausible search term than Usa national soccer team (note the capital s and a). -> I really don't think that the Usa national soccer team-redirect is needed at all (or is there a need to create redirects for each and every possible search term someone could try out?).--BSI 15:36, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the support. I am a bit weary of proding since even nominating certain hotels for AfD made supporters scream that I was jumping the gun and disrespecting their beloved hotel without warning. So I've switched to tag for notability first and in a week or so, when nothing has changed (and it probably won't in 95% of the cases), submit for AfD. In any case, I'd appreciate if you can take a quick look about the proposed guideline I started WP:HOTELS and make comments/modifications. This shoud help in the future. Thanks. What sort of specific context are you looking for? I will be happy to dig up the requested info on the roads that I am familiar with. Cheers. youngamerican (ahoy-hoy) 16:18, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
If list of West Virginia numbered highways says nothing about it, it may be original research. But it looks like what is meant by "secondary" is the county-numbered routes. --SPUI (T - C) 16:45, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

If you look at the history, you'll see the author came back after you, and changed it to a redirect to a non-existent article: Hors d'œuvres(band). I then reverted it to your redirect, Hors d'œuvre. They'll probably be back, though. I have it on Watch. Fan-1967 19:51, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

What are the policies on external links? There is a dispute on the urban exploration page in which some users are giving preference based on their personal preferences (their POV) to the article and the links themselves. I changed the links by removing the descriptions to give a more fair and unbiased view. But the discussion scope is now centered around the links themselves - several of them contain plagarized history, uncredited photos from other sites - and the alphabatazation (sp) of the links themselves. Appearantly a few want to categorize it based on their popularity and length of operation, but that cannot be accurately determined. Seicer 06:42, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Are you familar with how to create SVG images? There are a few that need filling in - mainly from what I've added. I can't find anything about it in the Help section. Thanks! Seicer 07:06, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
I have looked off an on for more information. I even spoke to Jack Barr a relative, but he doesn't have the correct information. He stated that he recieved the Medal of Honor, but a quick check reveled that to be incorrect. When I have some more time, I will do a more detailed search. I'm involved wiht building a Jeep for J-Ration magazine right now. --71Demon 14:19, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

It's going okay. My god, there's a lot of crap needing admin attention! I have to get some focus or I won't end up doing any of the stuff I used to be doing. Mangojuicetalk 17:00, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

It has been quite a long time hasn't it!? Since I've moved to DC and begun my new job I've had little time to get on and contribute :( As you've probably noticed, my usual fixes and additions deal with unincorporated communities, streams, and reservoirs anymore but I hope to be writing articles with more subtance by the end of the summer ;) The Huntington article is AWESOME, especially the images you've added! I smell an FA ;) --Caponer 00:35, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
When I came down to visit my grandparents, we would head down to the 'park' along the river. I remember the flood walls (some even inland as you entered Wayne County) and the vast empty space after you passed the Pied Piper music store all the way down to the Civic Center. --DarkAudit 19:48, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I thank you for your help with the Bob Wise article, I made my addition to the best of my knowledge. I DO know that the Charelston Daily Mail was the one that was finding all the midgivings in the Wise adminstration, and according to the paper, they were mounting evidence aganist him to disprove his account of events. Although I'd say people are more likely to refer to the Germanic tribes as Goths, and a style of literature/architecture as Gothic, rather than Goth though? Mdwh 21:38, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

I do not think any of the highway logs for Ohio violate naming conventions. I've searched Wikipedia high and dry and can't find any citation that would support that, so I am removing the tags until an approperiate discussion can be initiated. To slap a tag and not have a discussion warrants their removal IMO. (Not pointing at you, but since you work with the projects you would know.)
As a side note, should the West Virginia State Route log be renamed to State Highway to match the remainder of the state highway logs? Seicer (talk) 00:50, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi youngamerican, I've been away for a while and wanted to thank you for the barnstar you awarded me last month. It's very nice to be noticed! I was in WV/OH recently and should have some useful photos to put up in coming days/weeks. Also, have you seen the West Virginia Encyclopedia? It's excellent. --Malepheasant 02:39, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
"State Route X (Ohio)" and "NC X (highway)" to match what ODOT and NCDOT (and other sources) use. --SPUI (T - C) 02:44, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't actually have a source on that, just a general Google search and my intuition that new ceremonial names are never used. --SPUI (T - C) 12:05, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

All I know from here is that it existed in Bruceton Mills up until at least the mid 70s. There was a park where some regional acts played, and Bob Gill tried to jump the lake in 1974. The lake is still there, but whatever happened to the park? --DarkAudit 23:14, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
The top one is definitely looking downstream. It's from a long pulloff/turnaround between Holcomb and the Gauley River bridge (nearer to Holcomb, I think) which appeared to be an unofficial fishing/drinking/hangout spot with several paths down to the river. (I couldn't get down into the riverbed because of the high water). The North Fork picture is looking upstream, I think (Judging mostly from the other pictures I took at the site.) It's from a footbridge at the North Bend picnic area. Malepheasant 23:41, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Y.... Can you please take look at my notes in Talk:David Matthews (musician) and advise me how to proceed, or if I should proceed. I identified a hoax article, marked it as so. Another editor removed the hoax article and added an incorrect link. In response I left my indented remarks on the editor's Talk page and the articles Talk page. Your suggestions on how to proceed (or not proceed) would be appreciated.
As I've only been here a couple of months, I am looking to fit in and yet make try to make solid contributions. Thanks! WVhybrid 03:33, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the links on July 4th. You're right in noticing that I'm not new, but actually I needed those links because I'm still new to the process. Thanks also for introducing me to this talk feature; I didn't know it existed!

I amended the Kentucky State Highway 8 page with a new route box. I believe it is more simple to understand and in a better table format, so I wish to extend this to the rest of the Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia highway pages. Request for comments in the project page. Thanks! Seicer (talk) 14:18, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Being that we're known as "The Mountain State", shouldn't we have more articles on our various mountains? I've written some stubs for mountain ridges in the Eastern Panhandle but noticed that many of the bigger boys towards the center of the Allegheny Mountains and Allegheny Front did not have articles. Is a West Virginia Mountains WikiProject in order? I was just curious as to what you thought about the issue! --Caponer 22:04, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your comments and the barnstar. I really appreciate it. :) --TBCTaLk?!? 12:26, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
I have revamped the List of Ohio State Highways page, splitting it into three categories, very similar to what was done for the West Virginia log:
Some assistance is needed at Template:OH Highways to add the remainder of the highway log from List of Ohio State Highways to the template. I've gotten a great start on it, but due to time constrants, I can't finish it all in one day (or two) it seems. I am also proposing that the template not be added to individual highway pages due to its size, which will only triple by the time its finished. I added, for instance, at the Ohio State Highway 7 page, a "See also" link to the List of State Highways in Ohio page. I think this is sufficent? Seicer (talk) (contribs) 19:15, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Please assist in . SPUI is up to his old tricks, by reverting numerous pages and undoing the work of myself and others. Thanks. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 05:32, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello! I hope you remember me. You were the user who welcomed me to this great project way back in January. A few months back, I asked you whether you would be interested in becoming an admin. You told me that you are not ready yet. Well, I feel that you are ready now, so please give me a reply soon with regards to this subject matter. I strongly believe that Wikipedia would gain much by your added responsibilities. You helped me once by welcoming me and I intend to return this favour which I believe, is much deserved. --Siva1979Talk to me 17:42, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

ok, I believe you that you don't have a connection to her, but the article is extremely fawning, long and detailed for someone whose contributions to scholarship seem minimal at best. It does not seem NPOV. just my two cents. Appalachiangirl 16:27, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
