I'm still not sure why you think a composite null hypothesis is ok. You can't compute the probability of a type I error if your null hypothesis is composite. I have gone into greater detail on the Statistical Hypothesis Testing talk page.
I have responded on the article's talk page. But you might want to have a specific reference to look at: I suggest the book: Cox, D.R., Hinkley, D.V. (1974). Theoretical Statistics" Chapman & Hall.
