Hello, The Halo. This is a quick message to remind you that all 5 finalists for the Esperanza User Page Award have been chosen. You now need to judge those 5 pages, awarding each one 1-10 points for attractiveness, usefulness, interesting-ness and general niceness. Refer to the Scores section at the project page if you are unsure of how to score.
Once you have scored the 5 pages, email Banes using the specified format. As soon as all the scores have been tallied, a winner will be announced. Thanks. May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| ŗ 3 $ |-| ţ |-|) 16:31, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I am a member of a research group at Palo Alto Research Center (formerly known as Xerox PARC) studying how conflicts occur and resolve on Wikipedia. Due to your experience in conflict resolution on Wikipedia (e.g., as a member of the Mediation Cabal) we’re extremely interested in your insights on this topic. We have a survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=400792384029 which we are inviting a few selected Wikipedians to participate in, and we would be extremely appreciative if you would take the time to complete it. As a token of our gratitude, we would like to present you with a PARC research star upon completion. Thank you for your time.

Just a note to say I was impressed with your rational, levelheaded comments on the RfA. —Viriditas | Talk 10:45, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi Halo. Nice userpage! I hate to say this, but you have a minor problem with a (I admit nice) picture: Image:Slurms MacKenzie.jpg is licensed under fair use, and thus per WP:FAIR not allowed on user pages (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:FAIR#Policy, No 9). Sorry. Have a nice day! --Ligulem 22:55, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm around, dear, I've been planning to msg you all day - but trust me, I've been so busy all day preparing the damned Portal for Featured candidate that I've hardly had time to breath :) Can you hold for 5 mins hun? I know it's late at the beautiful UK, but I'll be right with you, I promise :) *mwah* Phaedriel ♥ The Wiki Soundtrack!♪ - 23:32, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Hullo Halo, Thanks for participating in my RFA! Ultimately, no consensus was reached, but I still appreciate the fact that you showed up to add in your two cents. Thanks for complimenting me as a user in your support vote, as well as keeping the count current throughout the RFA :). Although we haven't had much contact (as you said in your vote) I've read some of your comments on WT:ESP and I must say I'm quite impressed. You can feel free to talk to me about it or add some advice on my improvement page.

I think I'll do something really nice for you. You won't know what it is until it's done and even then, I won't mention it here. You have to find it for yourself. :P — Nathan (talk) / 18:51, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

It's a recognized fact by everyone except a small minority of Republicans. I'm sorry the truth hurts you...but it's not an opinion. What's more, YOU seem to be the one reverting articles. I'm adding missing content, troll. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.124.6.4 (talk • contribs)
You are quite wrong about the US not being a police state. The US Government does exactly those things. Just do a web search on "police state." It's quite obvious. YOUR NNPOV should lead to a block of YOUR access. 206.124.6.4 15:56, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I added a perfectly legitimate entry to your talk page and to scepter's, and you respond like fascists. It only proves my point. 206.124.6.4 10:33, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thanks, — FireFox (talk) 15:31, 6 August '06

…I noticed you like the Theatre and Literature. :D Those happen to be among my great passions (ahem, I ostentatiously apologize for the plagiarism). :P I know everybody thinks of Shakespeare when they think of the Theatre, and as much as he was good, he wasn't the only playwright to have existed—so who is your favourite playwright?
The other thing almost needs its own header. I myself cannot word it so as to not seem snoopy or stalking, to quote Nathan, but I had to ask—your "real life" occupations won't keep you away from here too long, will they? (Of course, we couldn't have that!) :P
I assume you are asleep now, as I will probably be when you reply to this, but anyway, if you are asleep, have a good night, good rest of the day, etc. etc. and don't work so hard, don't drive so fast, and as always, keep opera in your heart. :) —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-C|ε|L|T-) 02:42, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Dear Halo, thank you so much for your beautiful words, your kidness and your trust in me! My Request for Adminship is finally over, and the support and appreciation that the community has gifted me will stick in my mind as long as I live. I have no way to properly express how grateful I am to you for all you've done for me, and all I can tell you is, I'll try not to disappoint you nor anyone else with my use of the buttons... and if I mess up, make sure to come here and give me a good yell! :) Seriously, tho, if you ever need my help, either for admin-related stuff or in any other way, you'll always be welcome to message me, and I promise I'll try my very best.
My dear Halo, I feel clumsy and foolish trying to write you this... what can I possibly tell you that you don't know already? That you are way, way beyond the simple meaning of a "friend"? That sometimes I feel like I've known you for years, or that every time I talk to you I am filled with joy? Nothing, nothing I can tell you can sum up all you mean to me properly. Know that you're in my prayers every night, and that I long for you to return to us the way you used to be, because as long as my Halo is not here, WP is darker, and sad. I miss you, my dear Halo. With a big hug, your friend,
Want to help on/rescue the article Scarlet Carson? Seeing as I have the film and you have the comic, we could make a good partnership on such articles. Will (Take me down to the Paradise City) 14:51, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks so much for voting, The Halo! Thanks so much for your support vote on my request for adminship! With a final vote count of (82/5/0), it succeeded, and I'm now an administrator! I am thrilled with the overwhelming positive support from the community, and sincerely thank you once again for taking your time to voice your opinion. Feel free to contact me with any comments/suggestions in the future!—Mets501 (talk) 03:53, 13 August 2006 (UTC) |
I was just wondering how you put a link to Esperanza in your sig or how you put a link to *hypothetically* your editor review in your sig? If you could perhaps help me out, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and if you are busy, disregard this message because it is a trivial matter and should not detract from your more important duties. Thanks again and happy editing! Until such time as the mess involving your sister is cleaned up (if ever), all photos which show her face have been deleted. The photos of pets are still up, though, since those are fairly neutral.

There was a lack of any information that concerned me regarding the block. As a result I wasn't aware of any of the ill repute that surrounds the user in question. Sorry for digging any of this back up and any ensuing discomfort for you. JohnnyBGood t c VIVA! 00:08, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
I hope you feel psychologically in better shape soon. I can only imagine how tough this kind of stuff can be. Don't worry about what happened to me last month, it's just a complete non-event. I feel fine. A lot more difficult wiki-things have happened to me, like a couple of religious editors battling it out on my usertalk - or a bogus RfC and impeachment. You flatter me far too much, my friend. Without fantastic Esperanzians as yourself, Esperanza would not be what it is. But your confidence means quite a lot, so thank you.
I was overjoyed to see that your userpage had returned (though that psychadelic image was always fun to look at... ;). It's fantastic, even if you are sparsly editing for now. I hope things continue to improve, and no longer cause you troubles. And if they do, well, then I'll have to find some more smiling image to grace your talk page with. :) -- Natalya 03:02, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
