I'll be honest. The fact that the Army has yet to nominate a new commanding general, leads me to think that they are downgrading the command, but I haven't been able to find any sources that support that so...🤷 shrug. Neovu79 (talk) 13:08, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
I wouldn't necessarily say that, especially since there are (not including the acting Commander), not one, not two, but three 3-star Deputy CGs. LTG James Richardson has been acting CG for 192 days at the time of me typing this. Ironically, his wife then LTG (now GEN) Laura Richardson, served as acting FORSCOM CG for 154 days. While I do think TRADOC is more likely. I do think Brito could be getting Futures Command because as a BG, he served as "Director, Force 2025 and Beyond Directorate, Army Capabilities Integration Center". At the time, the Army Capabilities Integration Center was part of TRADOC, but its elements are now part of Futures Command. EPMen (talk) 23:10, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
EPMan well I finally found a couple of sources that states that Army Futures Command will remain a four-star command, here and here, However funding is planning to be cut and mission priorities are being redefined. Congressional lawmakers are concerned that there is no actual four-star in command and that the SECARMY has yet to recommend a replacement. Neovu79 (talk) 00:36, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Removed in the final version. SuperWIKI (talk) 03:08, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
Wow... There's going to be an uproar over the fact that the Navy keeps suffering net losses in four-stars for joint commands. I would suspect that the Navy will get Northern Command this year, or Cyber Command next year. Neovu79 (talk) 11:22, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
Considering I'm a bit biased towards the Navy, I share those feelings somewhat. Hope Navy will get Northern Command, though from what I've been reading Lt Gen Timothy D. Haugh is being groomed to succeed GEN Nakasone at USCYBERCOM, so no dice for cyber. It'll be even worse if Navy loses their long-held monopoly on USINDOPACOM, because I have a feeling LTG Ronald P. Clark could have an advantage come 2024. SuperWIKI (talk) 11:29, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
I wouldn't count out VADM Frank D. Whitworth. He's a career intelligence officer and he's been on the rise lately. His current stop at NGA might push his name to the front, in terms of the Navy's candidate. Neovu79 (talk) 11:49, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
Well, hoping things go well for Whitworth. Otherwise, Haugh remains the frontrunner, however uncomfortable that is, in my view. Among the Navy, who do you think'll be a possible successor to VanHerck? SuperWIKI (talk) 11:52, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
The Navy's pretty thin on four-stars, lol, and with a lot of them retiring, they would have to dig into their three-stars. USNORTHCOM is usually an aviation community officer, so from the three-star pool, VADM Kenneth R. Whitesell would top my list. The recent success of Top Gun: Maverick may possibly make him a popular choice. VADM Sara A. Joyner would have been a prime candidate, if she wasn't just promoted to three-star this month. Neovu79 (talk) 12:10, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
@Neovu79 @SuperWIKI I disagree about Whitesell being the top Navy candidate for NORTHCOM. Paparo is a stronger possibility in my opinion, if the fuel leak scandal doesn't hold him back (I doubt it will since the problems started long before he assumed command). Even though he is a submariner and not an aviator, I think Caudle is also a strong Navy possibility for NORTHCOM, as Fleet Forces Command is the Navy's component of NORTHCOM. Army GEN Charles Jacoby is the only non-pilot to lead NORTHCOM so far and I think I remember that Admiral Grady was considered for NORTHCOM before the job went to VanHerck. EPMen (talk) 23:18, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
@EPMen: The commander of USNORTHCOM is traditionally an aviation community officer due the commander being dual-hatted as Commander of NORAD. The USNORTHCOM/NORAD houses the largest continental air force and missile defense force out of all of the territorial unified combatant commands due to the U.S.'s joint partnership with Canada. NORAD is traditionally an Air Force command. It is highly unlikely this administration would nominate an officer with no experience in aerial or missile defense. Also I don't recall the Navy submitting a person for NORTHCOM because it was decided very early on that VanHerck would be the nominee. Neovu79 (talk) 02:55, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
Plenty of non-Air Force NORTHCOM/ NORAD commanders.
Navy: Admiral Timothy Keating, Admiral James Winnefeld, Admiral William Gortney
Army: General Charles Jacoby
Jacoby was the only one with no air background whatsoever, but USAF General Lor Robinson was an air battle manager, not a pilot. EPMen (talk) 02:58, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
@EPMen you're only looking at the commander of USNORTHCOM. The command was established in 2002 and was designed to replace the first USSPACECOM as a result of changes due to 9/11. NORAD was established in 1958 and has a much longer history. Neovu79 (talk) 03:11, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

Joint:
-USAF Major General Kevin Huyck has retired per his LinkedIn.
-USAF Major General Brad Sullivan is now dual-hatted as COS for USFK AND UNC. Previous UNC COS (Army Major General R. Mark Toy) has retired, as he is no longer on the Army GOMO website.
USMC:
-Major General Francis Donovan has relinquished command of the 2nd Marine Division to Brigadier General Calvert Worth.
-Major General Julian Alford has relinquished command of Training Command to Brigadier General Farrell Sullivan.
(of note: Major Generals Alford, Donovan, Glynn, and Turner are all "in transit" as far as we know (never heard anything about Glynn having retired; but you did remove him). I bet one of them has succeeded Benedict as CENTCOM J5 (it has always been a Marine since at least 2012), but I don't have the guts to reach out to CENTCOM Public Affairs and ask). Another tidbit: Glynn's LinkedIn has "Training and Education Command" in the header.).
I feel like I'm missing some, but if I am, I'll get back to you later. I also wonder if we'll see any new nominations on congress.gov tonight. They seem to often come in on Monday-Tuesday overnights (at least in American EDT). But I wonder if the congressional recess is delaying postings. EPMen (talk) 04:18, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
Of course I got another one before you even see the original (lol). Knew I was forgetting some.

@SuperWIKI For the Navy, Ishee has assumed command of the Sixth Fleet and there is a new portrait of him. VADM Black is still in transit as VADM Merz as not yet retired from his billet as DCNO N-3/N-5 (no Senate communication of him retiring, but he's been in his current grade since 7/2017). EPMen (talk) 01:11, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Per the October Navy Flag roster, Black is scheduled to assume office on October 7. And Merz has retired or is retiring on the 7th. EPMen (talk) 22:40, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
I can't believe it. Whoever updates the bios on af.mil made a major error. In Major General Adrian Spain's newly updated bio (to reflect his transition from EUCOM J3 to EUCOM Chief of Staff), a picture of Major General David Abba is used. https://www.af.mil/About-Us/Biographies/Display/Article/1571456/adrian-l-spain/

I recommend you note the difference between nomination and assignment. I noted VADM Karl Thomas had been nominated for assignment as N2/N6 and you changed it to say he had already been assigned to the position. The nomination requires Senate confirmation, even a 3-star needs that when changing jobs, and one Senator currently has a hold on all nominations. https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3322261/flag-officer-announcement/WikiPicnPost (talk) 16:00, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
In this story I saw on CBS Sunday Morning about racial equality in the US Military, LTG Henry is interviewed, as is Secretary Austin. I hadn't realized that the number of black 3-star and 4-star officers has doubled since Austin became SECDEF. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl5htZ1juiI
@SuperWIKIEPMen (talk) 19:32, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
So, per today's POLITICO Playbook, it looks Senator Tuberville is holding up a lot of nominees. I wish they would change the rules so that only 3-star and 4-star nominees even need a vote, as pretty much all large lists (from O-4 and up, sometime even lower) are decided by each service and approved by the Senate merely as a formality. @SuperWIKI @KingEdinburgh @Neovu79
Quote:
"ONE TO WATCH — Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is stepping up a fight with Sen. TOMMY TUBERVILLE (R-Ala.) this week over the latter’s hold on more than 150 Pentagon nominations in protest of abortion policy at the Defense Department. “Not a good look for Republicans to be holding up promotions for key military leaders,” Schumer’s office said in an email last night.
“What’s not a good look is the Biden Administration politicizing our military and illegally turning the Pentagon into an abortion travel agency,” a Tuberville spokesperson said in response, “all while missing enlistment goals by historic margins.” Tuberville first declared more than a month ago that he’d block all Pentagon nominees over the Defense Department’s new policy to give reimbursements and paid time off for service members who have to travel to receive abortions. The standoff has created a growing pileup of nominations for the Senate to clear. Among the current batch of pending promotions, there are five three-star generals or admirals up for positions whose current occupants will rotate out in the next three months, including commander of the Fifth Fleet. Later this year, the leaders of three major commands — and, of course, the Joint Chiefs of Staff chair — will turn over, too. Tuberville shows no signs of relenting. Last week on the Senate floor, he said he was still holding firm against the “illegal” policy. “The facts have not changed,” he said. “My position has not changed.” Senate Democrats can maneuver around him to get nominees confirmed, but doing so would burn precious floor time that is rarely expended on the Pentagon brass." EPMen (talk) 14:56, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
I have Politico Playbook PM as one of my newsletters. Thanks for the alert! SuperWIKI (talk) 15:24, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
@SuperWIKI Of course. No precedence for what Tuberville is doing. EPMen (talk) 17:06, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
@SuperWIKI Another follow-up story from POLITICO. EPMen (talk) 22:16, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
This CNN article claims that it would take a year to get through all the nominations Tuberville is blocking if they had to be brought to the floor.
Another quote: "In total, roughly 650 general and flag officers will require Senate confirmation by the end of the year, according to a senior defense official, including three of the four current military service chiefs, as well as chairman of the joint chiefs and the vice chief of staff of the Air Force."
Have also read that. And it sucks. At least we know the VCSAF will be rotating pretty soon. SuperWIKI (talk) 04:04, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
Speaking of of the Air Force, I think Lt. General Schneider could be a dark horse to be deep selected from the 3-star ranks to be CSAF. He's served in every theater and served as Aide-de-Camp to the CSAF back in the day (on 9/11 actually). He could also get VCSAF first and then be elevated to CSAF after a few months. @SuperWIKIEPMen (talk) 13:09, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
All indications point for Wilsbach to take over USNORTHCOM/NORAD. Neovu79 (talk) 08:01, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
Big enough article that I made a separate category from the other news stories. Any thoughts?
It would be quite something if Biden nominated female leaders for the Navy, Air Force, and Army. Not that it would be bad by any means, but I definitely worry about Republican attacks. Franchetti is a near shoe-in for the Navy but didn't realize Van Ovost was the clear frontrunner for the Air Force. And Richardson has a chance to be CSA. It seems almost certain the Air Force will get its first mobility chief. Maybe Lt. General Schneider could became VCSAF in that case. EPMen (talk) 13:15, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
Read that a few hours before your message. Surprised about GEN Richardson's candidacy. SuperWIKI (talk) 13:16, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
She's not the frontrunner for either role. But interesting that she's being considered. GEN McConville is the first aviator to be CSA so I doubt they'd go with two in a row. EPMen (talk) 13:57, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
@EPMen: I'm also proud of how accurate most of your prior predictions were. On the topic of GEN Richardson, I feel she's still too junior (seniority-wise) for CJCS. SuperWIKI (talk) 22:17, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
Air Force Times article claims that General Allvin is the frontrunner to be CSAF with Lt. General Slife possibly to succeed him as VCSAF. (But doesn't rule out General Van Ovost)
(Article also incorrectly claims that retired CSAF General Norton Schwartz was a mobility pilot when he was actually a special operations pilot) EPMen (talk) 03:58, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
I saw the comment you left on Los Pajaros’s talk page. A voice file they had uploaded to Wikimedia Commons was just deleted. Would you happen to know whether a video file uploaded to YouTube by "an archive of a Trump Administration account maintained by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)" is in the public domain? I would assume so since it is a video created by the WH, and that it would be legal to record 2 minutes of audio from it. Do you know whether it is? Space4Time3Continuum2x (talk) 10:14, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
I address the issue in more detail on LosPajaros's talk page. As for your file, it likely falls under the POTUS template. Be sure to check the video though - sometimes it is pulled wholesale from another copyright owner! The file LosPajaros used for the Angus King page was pulled from a C-SPAN programme (the C-SPAN logo is present throughout, and it wasn't a floor proceeding), but I would note that a congressperson's personal office has only a limited number of staffers to keep track of things compared to an official governmental office like the Executive Office of the President of the United States, so it's probably an honest mistake on their part. SuperWIKI (talk) 15:00, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll pass the template on to LosPajaros, in case they want to try again; if not, I'll see if I can figure how to extract audio with Mac QuickTime. The video was uploaded by the National Archives (NARA) and is contained in their @whitehouse45 video library, I assume under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal license but I'm not sure. Space4Time3Continuum2x (talk) 11:48, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
See this section of LosPajaros's talk page for their way of extracting audio clips. C-SPAN allows its registered online users to pull short clips from its (usually long) videos, at a limited number of clips per month, which can be downloaded. I imagine LosPajaros has used this. As for me, I use OBS Studio to screen-record the portion of the C-SPAN video that I want. This is easy and difficult at the same time - OBS Studio is intuitive but since it has no option to record individual browser tabs, I have to do everything in my power to prevent other computer system or notification sounds from interfering. Afterwards, I trim the recorded video, convert it online to .ogg format, and clean and reduce track noise with Audacity before uploading to Wikimedia Commons.
I generally don't record House or Senate floor speeches over 15 minutes unless the speech is historically significant or pertains to major legislation or surrounding events. For example, Chuck Schumer's floor speech after the September 11 attacks. As the senior senator from New York (Hillary Clinton having succeeded Daniel Patrick Moynihan earlier that year), I felt his remarks should be preserved on Wikimedia Commons for posterity, and even be used on his Wikipedia page. The latter I leave to other users to add, if they wish; I don't want to be accused of liberal addition of audio files on Wikipedia pages.
To clarify, the Angus King track was pulled from the senator's official YouTube channel maintained by his congressional staff. The video, however, was a blatant clip from a C-SPAN broadcast that wasn't on the floor of either chamber, not anything resembling an official message from King's office. Hence, my argument about a congressperson's limited staff numbers. SuperWIKI (talk) 16:06, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

SuperWIKI, is it just me or have there been more General/ Flag officer announcements today than in any other single day? Many 1-star and no 3-star or 4-star, but enough Army 2-star changes that I've determined which current 2-stars will be retiring if they don't get re-assigned. Let me know if you want my list of those. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EPMen (talk • contribs) 00:33, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
Yes, I do want that list! Thank you. Sidenote, this happens at least once per year - I had a much bigger wave back in April 2021. SuperWIKI (talk) 00:40, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
This is my list of all 2-stars who will be retiring if not promoted or reassigned. Of this list, the ones I would think are most likely to be retiring are MG Maranian, MG Russell, and MG Tyler. Others on the list could be possible as well. MG Smith has a 2022 DOR, so probably will be reassigned (possibly to MG Hoyle's current role after she gets promoted). Either MG Holland or MG Whittle will probably get promoted to be the next Chief of Engineers and whichever one doesn't will likely retire.
Between MG Michele Bredenkamp and MG Hale, they could be in line for promotion with both Deputy Chief of Staff G-2 and Military Advisor to the Director of National Intelligence likely turning over. But MG Michele Bredenkamp's husband (MG Trevor Bredenkamp) is a strong candidate to take over command of a division over the summer, so I wonder how that could play into whether or not his wife gets promoted.
As I've said for a while, MG Mennes could be promoted to lead the First Army, as could other 2-stars on this list who have commanded divisions (MG Lesperance and MG McFarlane). But Lesperance and McFarlane likely won't be relinquishing their current roles until the summer, and I doubt that the First Army CG position will remain vacant all the way till then, especially since MG Landes (the acting Commander) is also being reassigned.
MG Michele Bredenkamp (USA, Commanding General, US Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir)
MG Edmond M. “Miles” Brown (USA, Commanding General, Combat Capabilities Development Command, US Army Futures Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground)
MG Anthony Hale (USA, Commanding General/ Commandant, US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence and Fort Huachuca)
MG Diana Holland (USA, Commanding General, Mississippi Valley Division, US Army Corps of Engineers)
MG David Lesperance (USA, Commanding General, 2nd Infantry Division (Combined), Eighth Army, Republic of Korea)
MG Stephen Maranian (USA, Commanding General, 56th Artillery Command, US Army Europe-Africa)
MG Brian Mennes (USA, Deputy Commanding General, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg)
MG Michel M. Russell Sr. (USA, Commanding General, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, US Army Central, Fort Knox)
MG James M. Smith (USA, Commanding General, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, US Army Europe-Africa)
MG Joel Tyler (USA, Chief of Staff, US Africa Command)
MG Robert F. Whittle Jr. (USA, Deputy Commanding General, US Army North) EPMen (talk) 00:31, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
@EPMen: Probable that MG Bredenkamp will return to 3rd Infantry Division this summer. MG Holland's likely the CoE hopeful; MG Whittle's retiring this spring. SuperWIKI (talk) 13:26, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
@SuperWIKI Just saw this now. Anyways, another busy nomination day. Here's today's additions to the above list of stars who will be retiring if not promoted or reassigned. MG Evans has a 2022 DOR, so almost certainly not retiring. Could very well become CG of a division.
RADM Cheever and RADM Pitts likely retiring. The only 3-star possibility for RADM Cheever is Commander, Naval Air Forces/ Naval Air Forces Pacific. I doubt RADM Sweeney or RADM Kirk are retiring since they have a 2021 DOR, but I don't see any obvious positions for them. RADM Wettlaufer is more than likely retiring, but if he isn't, he'll likely get N4 on the Navy Staff (no precedent of a Military Sealift Command Commander becoming N4, but they'd definitely be qualified). RADM Yvette Davids could possibly become Superintendent of the Naval Academy, as she would be the first woman and first person of color to be Superintendent. Deputy Commander, US Fleet Forces Command is also a possibility for her. RADM Gray will likely take over Navy Installations Command. RADM McLane will likely take over Naval Surface Forces/ Naval Surface Forces Pacific, but Deputy Commander, US Fleet Forces Command is also in the realm of possibility.
Either RADM Gumbleton or RADM Skillman will become the N8 on the Navy Staff, with RADM Gumbleton being more likely since Skillman has an earlier DOR and is the more likely of the two to retire. Either RADM Jablon or RADM Perry will take over Submarine Forces/ Submarine Forces Atlantic (almost guaranteed that VADM Houston will take over Naval Reactors), and RADM Jablon has an earlier DOR and is the more likely of the two to retire. Between RADM Loiselle and RADM Meier, one of them (or RADM Cheever) will likely become Commander, Naval Air Forces/ Naval Air Forces Pacific. RADM Meier has an earlier DOR and is the more likely of the two to retire, but once again, Deputy Commander, US Fleet Forces Command is also in the realm of possibility. I also think RADM Loiselle has the edge over RADM Meier since RADM Meier is a helicopter pilot while RADM Loiselle is a fighter pilot, and no helicopter pilot has been Navy Air Boss since at least 2000.
MG Marcus Evans (USA, Chief of Staff, US Special Operations Command)
RADM Daniel Cheever (USN, Chief of Staff, US Northern Command/ NORAD)
RADM Yvette Davids (USN, Director, Learning to Action Board)
RADM Christopher S. “Scotty” Gray (USN, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic)
RADM John Gumbleton (USN, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Budget/ Director, Fiscal Management Division, N-82)
RADM Jeffrey Jablon (USN, Commander, Submarine Force, US Pacific Fleet)
RADM James Kirk (USN, Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 3)
RADM Andrew Loiselle (USN, Director, Air Warfare Division, N-98)
RADM Brendan McLane (USN, Commander Naval Surface Force Atlantic)
RADM John Meier (USN, Commander Naval Air Force Atlantic)
RADM Douglas Perry (USN, Director, Undersea Warfare Division, N-97)
RADM James Pitts (USN, Director, Warfare Integration, N-91)
RADM John B. “Brad” Skillman (USN, Director, Programming Division, N-80)
RADM Christopher Sweeney (USN, Commander Carrier Strike Group 11, US Third Fleet)
RADM Michael Wettlaufer (USN, Commander, Military Sealift Command) EPMen (talk) 01:58, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
@SuperWIKI Not particularly surprised since there are no divisions (except 25th ID) where his wife could move with him to be a J2 (and INDOPACOM's J2 has been there less than a year). Given that he's staying in Washington, I think it increases the chances of his wife getting a 3-star position (either DCS, G-2 or Military Advisor to the Director of National Intelligence). EPMen (talk) 14:42, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Also, @SuperWIKI, while I won't speculate on who will get what, I will speculate on who could become division commanders this year.
The following divisions are turning over:
-First Army Division East, Fort Knox
-1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood
-2nd Infantry Division, Korea (already going to MG William "Hank" Taylor)
-3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart
-4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson
-7th Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord
-11th Airborne Division (formerly US Army Alaska)
-25th Infantry Division, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam
-101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell
Here are some 2-stars (and a few 1-stars who could easily become 2-star soon) who I think are contenders:
-MG Kevin Admiral
-MG Winston P. "Phil" Brooks
-MG Thomas Drew
-MG Marcus Evans
-MG James Gallivan
-MG John Kline

Obviously not all of them are getting division commands this year (or ever). I think MG Admiral, MG Naumann, and MG Norrie are near certain given that almost everyone who has held their current jobs has become a division commander. EPMen (talk) 15:17, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Hii there, you may find me as the same faces that have been in wiki for many times and you probably will find out again that I'm some kind of puppet of an old account that has exist. But I tell you something that I won't stop making new account in-order to get my right to edit wikipedia. I may made mistake previously and at that time I may not able to understand fully how to operate Wikipedia so I couldn't explain why I made the mistake. But I promise you, if you give me one more chance to be part of the Wikipedia again, I won't do any mistake that I made in the past and I will follow all the rules that apply. Remembered everybody deserved second chance, which is why I will not repeat any kind of mistake I made in the past and will indeed follow the rules. I promise you, if you're not going to report me again as some kind of puppet of an old account and I will not made another account again and again and will use this as the one and only to edit in Wikipedia and participate in editing which follow the rules that apply. Please give me second chance because everybody deserve second chance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BlackRain1989 (talk • contribs) 04:41, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
Respectfully, I have reported you before due to the policy against Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry. On your original account (where the talk page should still be editable), there was a failure to directly address in detail what got you blocked in the first place, which was adding false information. A basic apology did not address their concerns. In order for you to be able to edit again, this should be followed. Sock edits are reverted in order to ensure that such users do not deliberately use disposable accounts to ensure their edits can stay on-site.
In my first communications with you, I stated that I value your edits and want to see further communications with you and improvements in usage of English over time. My hope that you can do well here has not changed. While I am the one reporting you, any other user can do so for the same reason. It is for communications between you and an administrator, further reading of the rules, and agreements as such to allow you to keep editing. I am not on a crusade against you. I do not want to make enemies, but I cannot be expected to simply allow Wikipedia articles to be filled en masse with potentially erroneous content. Reverting edits is exhausting.
Secondly, General Charles Q. Brown Jr. is only a contender for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff position, and has not been formally nominated for the position. Being expected to be nominated does not equal actually being nominated. Like you, I also want Brown to be formally nominated, but until Congress officially reports his nomination, adding said nomination to the four-star Wikipedia page is untrue, and will be reverted either by me or another user in time. Please refrain from re-adding this back. SuperWIKI (talk) 05:04, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
@BlackRain1989: If it is unknown to you how to contact administrators, I will lodge an enquiry at WP:ANI so relevant administrators can assist you. SuperWIKI (talk) 05:06, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
@BlackRain1989: I tried helping you before and so I will try again. If your original account is User:LemonJuice78, that account is currently blocked, indefinitely, by Acroterion. Before you can edit anywhere on Wikipedia, you first must request that account be unblocked. As long as it remains blocked, any account you create will automatically be blocked as a sock account. If you're not clear on what that is, click the link and read. Furthermore, any edit you make, regardless of how many new accounts you make, or just as an IP user, will automatically be reverted as block evasion. It doesn't matter how 'good' or 'innocent' the edit is... it will be undone. All you are doing is wasting your time and ours. On top of all that, the more accounts you create, the more you 'sock' and 'evade', the more you stretch the good will of the community. You will get to the point where you will never be unblocked and allowed to make legitimate edits again (or at least, for a very long time). You need to stop right now. Go and find something else to do (like Fandom) for say... a year. Then come back and post a sincere unblock request at LemonJuice78. Show that you have read all the relevant policies and guidelines that you have violated. List all the accounts you have created. List any IP accounts you may have used (you can do that privately). Apologize for taxing the community's time and good will, and provide a plan that shows you can contribute positively to the project, a plan that you promise to commit to. Perhaps only then you will be unblocked (maybe, I can't say for sure). If you can't do that, that is your choice. But this behaviour needs to stop, it is accomplishing nothing and it will continue to accomplish nothing. - wolf 10:35, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
I don't think that helped at all. They're likely back under a new username already. Have filed a report. SuperWIKI (talk) 12:28, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Howard Baker, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bicentennial.
Surprisingly, I'm okay with this.... that opens the road for LTG Clark to become Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command next year with the obvious choice being moved to CNO. SuperWIKI (talk) 13:42, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
There are two things going against this. No other service, other than the Navy, has ever lead INDOPACOM. Second, if they selected an officer from another service, it will be the first time in history that a Navy officer would not lead a unified combatant command. That will never happen. Franchetti has held flag positions in both the Pacific and the Atlantic. Look for her to take over USPACFLT as a precursor for INDOPACOM in 2024. Neovu79 (talk) 05:59, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
I wanted history to be made. It's still possible Biden passes over this recommendation (as didn't he pass over Lt. Gen. Whiting and Lt. Gen. Shaw for Saltzman for CSO?).
I would think LTG Clark would be more likely to take over Army Pacific from GEN Flynn than go straight to INDOPACOM. Besides him, Gen. (sel) Schneider is also an INDOPACOM possibility with LtGen Jurney being a dark horse.
If ADM Paparo does indeed become CNO, VADM Koehler is the clear favorite to take over the Pacific Fleet.
If Clark was the plan all along, he could have had a one-year tour as CG USARPAC if Senator Tuberville wasn't holding up promotions. SuperWIKI (talk) 15:02, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
Flynn doesn't hit the three year mark at Army Pacific till early next year, so unlikely Clark will get moved there this soon as even if not for Tuberville, as I doubt Flynn could get confirmed for another role. @SuperWIKIEPMen (talk) 15:07, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
I saw that you added voice boxes to a number of politicians and officials, and was wondering if you could do some for a number of ambassador articles I made. Specifically, can you add them to the following articles: Mark W. Libby, Edgard Kagan, Angela P. Aggeler, Gautam A. Rana, Marie C. Damour, and Kathleen A. Kavalec? I'm not sure how to do it myself so might as well ask you for help lol. If you're up for it, check out my userpage for other articles to add them too. If you can add them, great! If not, it's perfectly fine. Thank you in advance. Losipov (talk) 00:21, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
Doing some of them now. If you have the time to learn, the above section describes my usual process for audio files. SuperWIKI (talk) 09:48, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
(P.S: I think most of Biden's ambassador articles don't have voice boxes. This could be useful to add, if you'd like to do it of course):) Losipov (talk) 18:23, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
I'm going back to work tomorrow so I won't able to. Generally, before this I only did the ambassadors to prominent states (and my own country, of course) - doing all of them would mean hundreds of files, and I'd get sick of it quickly.
Then just upload the finished OGG file to Wikimedia Commons and add it to the module parameter of the infobox. I was initially very inexperienced, but I learnt surprisingly quickly for someone who's never edited before. SuperWIKI (talk) 18:34, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
Hello SuperWIKI!
The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!
On another note, I've finished with all the PSC. I'll tableise all the Politburos and Secretariats. Then I'll take a break and continue finishing of the Yugoslav and the Eastern European party leaderships before I create articles for all those red links at the Chinese Communist Party template. Glad I brought a smile to your face! SuperWIKI (talk) 22:11, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:51, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Hey SW, just noticed the revert of this edit when I rec'd the alert. I didn't even know that edit was made and really have no idea how it was made. Though the page is my watchlist, I don't recall pulling it up today to look at it, nevermind making any recent changes to it, so really have no idea how that happened. Glad you caught it quick enough so no harm done, but still figured you deserved an explanantion. (of sorts.) Cheers - wolf 14:26, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, I didn't understand that revert at all - I checked all the cites I changed on Senate confirmations, those confirmations happened all right. It's probably just some strange glitch. No worries, glad I could be of assistance! SuperWIKI (talk) 14:28, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
Can you undo my edit of removing the list of pending appointments? I meant to only undo one row (RADM (sel) Davies) who passed away). But then I remembered that he should still be on there since they'll likely promote his posthumously. @KingEdinburgh @SuperWIKIEPMen (talk) 21:23, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
Done. @Neovu79:, is a Simler-type promotion applicable here? SuperWIKI (talk) 21:27, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
I'm not sure on that. But I'd at least make a note if you haven't already. EPMen (talk) 04:17, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
I was pinging Neovu79 but I have made the note. SuperWIKI (talk) 05:20, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Neveselbert. I noticed that you recently removed content from Dianne Feinsteinwithout adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk·contribs·email) 17:18, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Lori L. Robinson, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 22:37, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
If GEN Charles R. Hamilton remains suspended and/or reassigned through 22 May 2024, he will lose two stars, and revert back to his permanent rank of major general. Neovu79 (talk)
Didn't realise he was suspended. Thanks for letting me know! SuperWIKI (talk) 07:20, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
Let's check back in 18 hours and see how accurate I am.
Army
-LTG Bernabe: Deputy Commander, US Army Europe and Africa.
-MG Eifler: III Corps, First Army, or US Army North.
Navy
-RADM Anderson: Either US Sixth Fleet or Naval Inspector General.
-RADM Pappano: Strategic Systems Programs.
-RADM Lacore and RADM French are definitely getting Chief of the Navy Reserve and Judge Advocate General of the Navy, respectively.
Air Force
-Lt. Gen. Bauernfeind: Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy.
-Maj. Gen. Hensley: Commander, 16th Air Force.
-Maj. Gen. Tabor: NATO Special Operations HQ.
-Brig. Gen. Conley: Air Force Special Operations Command. (Note: he'll be the third Air Force 1-star in as many years to skip the 2-star rank after Lt. Gen. Caroline Miller and Lt. Gen. Dale White).
-Maj. Gen. DeGoes is definitely getting Surgeon General of the Air Force. EPMen (talk) 03:17, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
Army: 1 for 2.
Navy: 3 for 4.
Air Force: 4 for 5. Bauernfeind surprised me. SuperWIKI (talk) 06:38, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
I thought this article might interest you. Retired ADM Robert P. Burke faces 30 years in prison if convicted in a contract bribery scheme. If convicted, I expect him to retroactively lose at least two-stars in retirement, at the minimum. It would not surprise me if he is reduced to ensign, and lose virtually all retirement benefits. Neovu79 (talk) 08:18, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
Already following this - I expected only a one-star loss though, since at the moment the article stated the offences during his time commanding NAVEUR-AF (4-star). SuperWIKI (talk) 08:20, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
I feel that the length of time in prison will be a contributing factor. 30 year prison sentence is a very serious offense. Not saying that he would get 30 years, let alone go to prison at all. But I don't think that the U.S. government would want use taxpayer money to fund his retirement at four-star grade, if he were a convicted felon. Neovu79 (talk) 22:44, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
Context: please do not remove referenced content without providing an explanation for doing so. "Bruce" is not a sufficient explanation. ⇒SWATJesterShoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 02:12, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
(I'd give Lt. Gen. Reed a slightly higher chance for Commander, US Transportation Command due to him having been in 3 years longer than Lt. Gen. Lamontagne).
-4/5 (I forgot MG Gavin Lawrence but I would've predicted Deputy Commanding General, Chief of Staff, US Army Materiel Command).
Air Force:
-4/5 (I did not predict Maj. Gen. Downs would become Associate Director for Military Affairs of the CIA since most people who've held that role came from a special forces background, not intelligence.
-Navy:
TBD at this time but given Maj. Gen. Pettus becoming Military Deputy Commander, United States Southern Command, I imagine I'm correct on VADM Holsey.
@EPMen, Neovu79, and KingEdinburgh:Possibility that MG Joseph Jarrard will be nominated as the next vice chief of the National Guard Bureau. This could mean the first two-star > four-star promotion in years. SuperWIKI (talk) 16:40, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
Could very well be. Neovu79 (talk) 17:26, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
@SuperWIKI Wouldn't surprise me at all. Fun fact, I once met a Georgia Army National Guard Colonel who had served as his Executive Officer. Their whole family is a big deal. Obviously his twin brother (James Jarrard) is an Army Lieutenant General. Another brother John K. "Kevin" Jarrard is United States Marine Corps Reserve Brigadier General. And yet another brother, Stacy Jarrard, is Sheriff of Lumpkin County, Georgia (the guy I met who was MG Joseph Jarrard's Executive Officer confirmed that the Sheriff was his brother).
